The Private edition

The Private edition delivers the modules, lookups and packages you choose into a GitHub organisation that you own, and keeps them up to date.

Setting up

  1. Sign up at portal.aeternaltd.net and choose a plan. People sign in with a password or one-time code, or through your own identity provider.
  2. Create a GitHub organisation for the service. It must be dedicated to it: the service creates repositories there and keeps them current.
  3. Install our GitHub App, Aeterna Deployment, on that organisation from the portal. It can only work on the repositories it creates.
  4. Request what you use from the catalogue in the portal: single modules, lookups and packages, or on Enterprise a whole provider at once.

What arrives in your organisation

Each artifact becomes a repository: module_azurerm_storage_account, lookup_azurerm_resource_group, package_azurerm_storage_account. Packages point at the modules in your own organisation, so nothing reaches outside it. Every repository carries the version tags described in Versions.

terraform {
  source = "git::https://github.com/<your-organisation>/module_azurerm_resource_group.git?ref=v5.8.0"
}

Staying current

While automatic updates are on, each new provider version we publish is delivered into your organisation and the vX.Y.Z tags move to the newest build. You can turn automatic updates off for the whole organisation or for single artifacts in the portal.

Your estate

The portal’s Estate page lists everything delivered and its state. If a repository no longer matches what we published, for example after a manual edit, it is marked as drifted, and Repair restores the published content. Removing an artifact in the portal deletes its repository.

People and roles

Owners invite people and give each a role: owner, member or billing. Members request and repair artifacts; billing members manage the plan.
